Rajkot: A pregnant girl, who had gone to Aji Dam to commit suicide, was saved by the workforce of 108 emergency providers ambulance and united with husband after rigourous counselling.
The girl dwelling in Raiya village adjoining Rajkot was thrown out of her husband after he raised doubts about her character on Monday evening. After being thrown out, the girl, a mom of three youngsters, went to the Rajkot Civil Hospital as she was affected by stomach ache. The OPD was shut for the evening, so she spent the entire evening on the footpath outdoors.
On Tuesday morning, the check-up in OPD revealed that she was two-months pregnant.
As her husband had deserted her, the girl determined to take a plunge within the Aji Dam and finish her life.
Nevertheless, 108 providers coordinator Divya Barad, who was current on the website, noticed her passing by and crying. She suspected that the girl would commit suicide and stopped her. After making her snug, Barad acquired the small print from her and knowledgeable the 181 Abhayam helpline for ladies
The helpline counsellors took her to the Mahila police station and known as her husband too.
Each have been counselled and he willingly took her residence.
In line with the police, about seven years in the past, the girl had tried to immolate herself attributable to frequent fights together with her husband.
She had suffered burn accidents on the mouth, neck and arms. Her husband works in a crematorium as a labourer.
