Ludhiana: Ludhiana district has bagged three nationwide panchayat awards 2022, introduced by the Union ministry of panchayati raj for enhancing supply of companies and public items, excellent contribution to socio-economic improvement and adopting child-friendly practices.
Below the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Panchayat Sashaktikaran Puraskar (DDUPSP), block panchayat Machhiwara and gram panchayat of Rohle village has received the nationwide award, whereas Nanaji Deshmukh Rashtriya Gaurav Gram Sabha Puraskar (NRGGSP) has been awarded to gram panchayat of Chehlan village.
Deputy commissioner Ludhiana Surabhi Malik specifically congratulated ADC (rural improvement) Amit Kumar Panchal, and all different officers and stakeholders concerned for successful these nationwide awards. She stated it was materialised solely due to the staff work of officers and all stakeholders.
Panchal stated on the event of Nationwide Panchayati Raj Day on April 24, a perform is being organised at Gram Panchayat Pali, Samba district in Jammu & Kashmir, by which Prime Minister Narendra Modi would be the chief visitor.
