LUCKNOW: A 22-year-old lady allegedly dedicated suicide by leaping into the Gomti from Gandhi Setu in Gomtinagar within the wee hours of Wednesday.
The incident happened round 12:30 am. State Catastrophe Reduction Drive (SDRF) sleuths managed to retrieve the physique after over six hours at 10am.
The police mentioned that Khushi (identify modified) and her sister used to work as waiters at marriage events. They have been returning dwelling in Bangla Bazar from a wedding celebration in Gomtinagar.
The deceased was speaking to somebody on the telephone and abruptly, she handed her telephone to her sister and jumped into the river.
