Bhubaneswar: The demise of a person hours after his arrest by Badagada police right here on Sunday evening for allegedly stealing a bicycle has left the commissionerate police in a spot, along with his household on Monday accusing the cops of custodial torture. The deceased was recognized as Debendra Choudhury (42), who stayed along with his spouse and 4 kids, together with three daughters, at Kapilaprasad right here.
“Police didn't inform me about my husband’s arrest on Sunday evening. I got here to learn about it from our home proprietor round 10pm.
