MYSURU: The second-year pre-university examination began on Friday with college students in examination halls after a spot of two years due to the pandemic.
Regardless of the shadow of the hijab controversy on it, the primary day’s exams — enterprise research and logic — occurred with out incident in components of the southern and Malnad area.

No case of malpractice was reported in Mysuru, Mandya, Hassan, Shivamogga, Kodagu, Chikkamgaluru and Chamarajanagar districts. In all 35,222 have enrolled for the PU examination.
In Mysuru, about 12,489 had enrolled for the enterprise research paper of which 11,946 appeared, stated the deputy director of pre-university, Shrinivasmurthy. The examination was held in 50 centres throughout Mysuru, of which 26 had been in Mysuru metropolis.
In Hassan, about 93 college students appeared for the logic examination and 9 didn’t seem. In complete, 6,712 college students had registered to put in writing the logic and enterprise research papers of which 430 had been absent. Of them, 421 had been to seem for the enterprise research paper. In all, 17,839 college students have registered, together with 16,090 common college students. The remainder had been personal college students and repeaters. The exams had been held in 31 centres.
In Shivamogga and Chikkamagluru districts within the Malnad area, the exams went off easily.
Women carrying the hijab entered the examination centre after eradicating it and wrote the examination. In all, 19,033 college students in Shivamogga and 9,671 college students in Chikkamagaluru had enrolled for the PU examination. In Shivamogga, all 19 college students who had taken the logic examination sat for the paper and in Chikkamagaluru 61 appeared for the logic examination as towards 67 college students registered.
In Chamarajanagar, of the two,850 college students who had registered for the enterprise research paper, 106 had been absent, stated Chamarajanagar deputy director of pre-university schooling Nagamallesh.
In Mandya and Kodagu, the examination was held for less than enterprise research. About 308 college students had been absent for the enterprise research examination in Mandya district the place 5,683 had registered for the examination.
Out of three,122 college students registered in Kodagu 2,980 wrote the examination and 142 had been absent. The examination held in 17 centres which adopted Covid guidelines. The exams will conclude on Could 18.
