Prayagraj: The bus services provided by the Prayagraj region of the UP State Regional Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) would soon get a boost. The authorities of UPSRTC, Prayagraj have sent a proposal to the state government requesting for an additional fleet of 50-odd new buses.
Apart from catering to the public of the areas still not linked with bus service, these new buses would be used to enhance the number of buses of the Manjhanpur bus depot of neighbouring Kaushambi district.
“We have sent a proposal to the state government for more buses, out of which half of the new buses would be operated from Manjhanpur depot, giving the depot additional numbers for catering to the transport need of the common people living in different inner areas of the neighbouring Kaushambi district,” said regional manager UPSRTC, TK Bisen. “This area has a vast potential and there are many inner areas of the district which do not have access to the bus facility and hence have to travel long distances to catch the bus,” he added. He further added that a special health camp was organised by UPSRTC on Saturday.
