Rajkot: A two-month-old lady from Gondal was branded by a witch physician in Dahod and shifted to Rajkot Civil Hospital after her situation deteriorated.
Police mentioned the lady Priya was delivered to the civil hospital on Friday by her mother and father Akhilesh and Dhanu who've been working as building labourers in Gondal for the final three years.
Because the lady was affected by fever, she was taken to a witch physician in Dahod who branded her with a sizzling needle on the stomach and chest two days ago. When he was introduced again to Gondal, she fell unconscious and was rushed to the civil hospital.
The household is a local of Madhya Pradesh.
Bharatiya Vigyan Jatha, a voluntary group working to eradicate superstitions, has demanded that an FIR be lodged towards the witch physician.
